With a quorum present, Yvette Morrison, Treasurer, called the meeting to order at 12:40 pm at the Oklahoma City Zoo in Oklahoma City, OK.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
This was a short board meeting held during the OSHP Fall Meeting to discuss the upcoming membership renewal procedure. It was decided that this year, renewing members should receive a discount on their dues as incentive for membership retention. The membership drive will start in early October. There was discussion about the amount of dues that should be discounted, which membership category should qualify for the discount, and when the "early bird" deadline for the discount will end. Ben, our webmaster, has indicated that a special link for this renewal offer is possible so that PayPal can continue to be an option for paying member dues.
Motion: Approve a 20% discount for membership renewal for each membership category with an "early bird" deadline of November 15, 2008. Status: Passed.
Other recommendations proposed by the Membership Committee will be tabled for further discussion at our next board meeting in October.
There was a discussion regarding potential health-system visitations during October in observance of national pharmacist month. There was concern that this activity could not be adequately coordinated in time. Therefore, it was recommended that the Board assist the Membership Committee with a more definitive plan for next year.
The next board meeting is scheduled for 10/23/08 at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy.
